A husband and wife were at the mall when the wife spotted a beautiful dress in a boutique
window. She turned to her husband and said, “Honey, I think I deserve this dress. After all, I’ve
been good all week, and it’s on sale!” The husband replied, “Well, dear, so is a fishing rod, but
you don’t see me buying one every time I resist the urge to go fishing!” The wife huffed and
said, “That’s because a fishing rod doesn’t make me look fabulous!” They ended up
compromising: she bought the dress, and he bought the fishing rod. But the husband couldn’t
help muttering under his breath, “At least my rod won’t go out of style next season!”
